The Ultimate delivery to Chebeague Island, Maine!

It was time to deliver another batch of Tröskö products to the Niblic on Chebeague Island in Casco Bay, so my husband offered to take me and my box in his 19′ Seaway out there. It was the perfect Maine Summer day: starting out overcast, then sun with a few clouds now and then, not too hot, not too humid! We went around Cousins Island and little John and around to the far side of Chebeague, where the Niblic sits at the dock of Chebeague Island Boatyard. If you haven’t been there, it’s a great destination for a day trip. The Niblic offers, besides some awesome arts/crafts products,  delicious lunches: we had their fish chowder and tuna salad sandwiches. We ate it out on the back stair, while watching the kids at summer camp  get ready to go out on the water, visitors from other islands dock and go get lunch, the boatyard crew doing their jobs, and local islanders come get gas at the pump. In other words: we had a great time:)

On the way home, we took a round-about way over to Potts Harbor, where we had coffee and pie at the Dolphin. On the way we saw a lot of seagulls of course, but also – I’m not kidding you- several seals (!). What can I say, I love living in Maine:)
