JOANN + SOLVEJG MAKARETZ

This was an amazing opportunity for me!!! : to draw a fabric Collection for JoAnn’s Fabrics!!! A dream come true for sure! I started working on it in the Fall of 2020, so in the thick of the first wave of the pandemic. It’s easy to see how I spent my time then: dog walking in the park, hanging out in the garden and baking in the kitchen!!!:)

First I jotted down ideas with Pencil/ pen on paper and then developed the designs in Illustrator. There were to be 4 “Hero” prints and 6 “coordinates”. The Collection fell in with the “new” trend named “Cottage core”. Link to fabric page: JOANN + SOLVEJG MAKARETZ fabric
